TESTIMONIAL DEBRIS:
Isthmus of Tehuantepec, Oaxaca

This traveling exhibition, presented in January 2019 in Oaxaca, was the product of the master's thesis research of three Mexican students specialized in landscape architecture, critical conservation, urban design, and risk and resilience.

Through images, graphs, and quotes collected in the summer of 2018, the objective was to showcase the situation in five towns along the Las Nutrias River almost a year after the earthquakes of September 2017. Likewise, this exhibition attempted to return to the population a little of what they gave us as an academic team by helping us carry out the research. Through it, we intend to promote transparency and accountability within the academic duty and contribute to open dialogue between participants, both local and foreign.

TESTIMONIAL DEBRIS:
Boston, Massachusetts

This exhibition was a replica of the one that took place in Oaxaca, and it was presented in April 2019 at Harvard University on three distinct occasions: during the Beyond Reconstruction: Environmental, social, and infrastructural challenges for long-term recovery after major earthquakes in Mexico and Chile symposium, as part of the exhibition series hosted by the Student Project Wall at the Graduate School of Design and during the Master in Design Studies thesis presentations.

However, unlike the exhibition in Oaxaca, this edition focused results towards international awareness of crisis management in disadvantaged areas. For this reason, the graphic representation changed slightly to give more emphasis to the individual testimonies collected in the field, as well as to the statistical results found through the different research efforts.
